The dachshund dog breed comes in many colors, patterns, along with three coat types. The many looks and colors make it easy to fall in love with these dogs whether you want a long, short, or wiry coat. 

This dog breed is a member of the hound breed. Some traits such as chewing and being territorial are present in the dachshund breed. Make sure to have lots of chew toys and know your dog will be attached to you.
